Cabinet approves protection to NRG's properties in Goa

Panaji, Dec 14 (UNI) The Goa Government has today announced extending legal protection to the ancestral properties of Goans residing abroad.

The state Cabinet approved amendment in the Goa, Daman and Diu Buildings Lease, Rent, Eviction Control Act, 1968 empowering the Government to provide ancestral properties of non-resident Goans with legal protection.

The draft bill amending the Act would come up before the next session of the Legislative Assembly for consideration and approval, Chief Minister Digambar Kamat told mediapersons.
