Badal releases Rs 100 crore cheque for Amritsar

Chandigarh, Dec 14 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today released an amount of Rs 100 crore for the development of Amritsar.

The cheque was handed over to BJP MP Navjot Singh Sidhu and Information and PR Minister Bikram Singh Majithia by the Chief Minister after the 'bhog' ceremony organised to mark the inaguration of the new head office of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) here.

While handing over the cheque, Mr Badal promised that any additional amount required for the Holy City would be made avaliable to the district administration.
