Police official convicted in bribery case

Hyderabad, Dec 13 (UNI) Special Judge for ACB cases today sentenced a Sub Inspector of Central Crime Station (CCS),to six months rigorous imprisonment in a bribery case and slapped a fine of Rs 500 on him.

The police official was caught red-handed when he was accepting Rs 5000 as bribe from a complainant on March 9, 2002.

Another person, who assisted him, was also sentenced to rigorous imprisonment for six months, besides a fine of Rs 500, an ACB release said here.
