65 pc voting in I phase of Gujarat Polls

Gujarat, 12 Dec, 2007 : Polling hovered around the 60-65 per cent mark in the peaceful first phase of the Gujarat elections on 11 December.

58 constituencies of Saurashtra-Kutch and 29 in South Gujarat went to polls on Tuesday with over 52,000 Central paramilitary forces personnel deployed at the booths.
