Dr Reddy's releases '2007 Susutainability report'

Hyderabad, Dec 12 (UNI) Dr Reddy's Laboratories, a leading pharmaceutical company in the country, today released its 2007 Sustainability Report, prepared as per the guidelines recommended by global reporting initiatives.

According to a release here, the objective of the report was to foster better understanding of the company's broader responsibility and discuss not only about safety, health and environment issues, but also social, ethical and economic topics of importance across the financial year 2006-07.

This report was a voluntary information-sharing exercise directed at an internal and external audience to generate greater employee awareness on the one hand and catalyse a broader industry responsibility on the other.

The company had adopted a 'Triple Bottom Line Approach' to sustainability thinking, which involved creating multiple sustainability opportunities at three key levels of People (customers, employees, patients, suppliers, community, investors, shareholders), Profit (execution excellence, lean manufacturing, simplicity) and Planet (environment protection).
