US in touch with India on nuke deal: White House

Washington, Dec 11: The Bush Administration continues to be in touch with India on the Indo-US civil nuclear agreement and is keen on moving forward on this ''important programme''. ''We certainly have been involved. Under Secretary Nicholas Burns has certainly been trying to push India to try to reconcile their differences so that we can move forward,'' White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said in reply to a question yesterday.

''We think it's a very important programme,'' she said.
