Pak lawyers protest against emergency rule

Islamabad, Pakistan, 8 Dec, 2007 : In Pakistan the lawyers' protest has become a daily routine since President Pervez Musharraf imposed emergency rule on November 3 and deposed the incumbent judiciary.

Abandoning their legal tomes and chanting "Go Musharraf Go," the Islamabad Bar Association has decided to cut the lawyers' work day by half until Musharraf reinstates a host of judges he deposed to fend off challenges to his re-election.
