Three KYKL activists gunned down in Manipur

Imphal, Dec 10 (UNI) The Bishenpur police shot dead three Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup( KYKL) members at the City Inn Hotel near Asha hall here today.

Police said the three had been identified. The ultras had reportedly come yesterday and booked a room in the name of one Prakash of Shillong.

On a tip-off police raided the hotel and killed the three in an encounter.

Meanwhile, three others were killed in separate accidents.

A rifleman of 5 IRB was killed in an accident at Koirengei, Imphal last night and was identified as Doukhalun Haokip of Sinam village, Tengnoupal. In another incident Jitender Kumar of the 8th Sikh Regiment died in an accident.

In another incident a GREF worker was killed when a jeep hit him today.
