Sushma lambasts PM on nuclear deal

Barwani, MP, Dec 10 (UNI) Training guns at Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj today said charged him with compromising national pride and interest over the Indo-US nuclear deal.

Ms Swaraj, while addressing an election meeting at Sendhwa in Barwani district, said the Prime Minister had compromised with national pride and interest by entering into civilian nuclear deal with the US despite having nuclear powers Pakistan and China as neighbours.

Accusing Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar of playing politics in the name of farmers, she said more than 5,000 peasants committed suicide every year. Central policies leading to price rise has troubled common man.

Praising the ruling BJP in Madhya Pradesh, she said the state had progressed in certain sectors including roads, power and water.
