Uttar Pradesh: Student stabbed, accused held

Mathura, Dec 10: A girl student was allegedly stabbed to death by a youth in Sadar Bazar area of the district today. Class XI student Neha was on her way School this morning, when one Ashraf jabbed her with a knife. The victim died on the spot.

According to police, Neha and Ashraf knew each other through phone calls and this was their first meeting when Neha was stabbed. Working on a tip-off, police later arrested the killer.

The reason behind the murder, however, was yet to be ascertained. Meanwhile, police in strength was deployed in the area to prevent any untoward incident. The accused was being interrogated.
