Imphal, Dec 10: Crisis within the Congress still remains unresolved with the party MLAs demanding the ouster of Manipur Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh, sources said here today.

The MLAs after camping in New Delhi for almost a month returned on Saturday.

The Congress with 31 MLAs at present had appointed Revenue Minister Th Debendra as their leader. However, the minister had not given any official comment so far.

Party President Gaikhangam, who had earlier resigned from the Ibobi government, is also supporting the dissidents, though he had not spoken anything against Ibobi on record.

Mr Gaikhangam said the problem was internal and would be resolved soon.

The dissidents, however, have demanded the ouster of the chief minister as he had failed to control the law and order situation and for favouring his constituency only in recruitment process.

Meanwhile, Mr Singh rubbished all the allegations, saying large number of developmental projects were taken up under his leadership.
