Agra, Dec 9 (UNI) A study has claimed that water in Agra was unfit for human consumption, since it contained several harmful particles and chemicals.

The study, jointly conducted by Japan Bank of International Cooperation (JBIC) and Indian health experts, found that 22 out of 90 wards here were being supplied with contaminated water.

The report was presented before a review meeting here yesterday.

The survey to ascertain the water quality in Agra was undertaken before the launch of a Rs 1,180 crore project, official sources said here today.
