Dreaded criminal from Bihar arrested

New Delhi, Dec 9 (UNI) The Delhi police today claimed to have arrested a criminal wanted in a kidnapping case in Bihar.

The criminal identified as Faiz Ali Khan is a member of the gang headed by Shailender Paswan, according to the police.

The gang had kidnapped a trader from Bihar on Novemner 4 demanding a ransom of Rs 50 lakh. The trader was rescued this month, the police claimed.

Faiz was nabbed around Rithala metro station following a brief encounter. A country made pistol was recovered from his possession, the police added.

In a separate incident, the police claimed to have arrested a woman drug peddler identified as Sultana. About four grams of smack was also recovered from her possession, the police informed.
