CM warns against 'failures' in Aarogyasri scheme
Hyderabad, Dec 9 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said stringent actions will be initiated against empanelled hospitals, doctors, staff and officials for ''negligence or misuse'' in the implementation of Rajiv Aarogyasri Health Insurance Scheme.
In a release here Dr Reddy said the State Government had formulated the scheme to provide proper medical treatment to the poor at multi-specialty and corporate hospitals.
As many as eight hospitals were already blacklisted in Anantapur, Srikakulam and Mahabubnagar districts.
The budgetary allocation for the scheme would be raised to Rs 500 crore in the next fiscal as against Rs 182 crore now, he added.
