Bomb hoax aboard Neelanchal Express creates panic

Lucknow, Dec 9 (UNI) Panic prevailed among the passengers aboard the Delhi-Puri Neelanchal Express today, following a bomb hoax in the lavatory of one of its coaches.

The train was halted at Etawah railway station around 1200 hrs and the unclaimed bag was searched by the civil police and government railway police personnel, official sources said here.

The bag, however, contained clothes and nothing incriminating was found.

The train resumed its onward journey after about half-hour, the sources said.

A similar commotion was witnessed at Prayag Railway Station, Allahabad late last evening, when an unclaimed bag was found aboard the Durg Express.

Its search also revealed that it only contained clothes.
