Ayyappa devotees meet

Tiruchirapalli, Dec 9 (UNI) Hundreds of Ayyappa devotees today attended a devotees' meet, organised by the Chennai-based Dharma Rakshana Samithi (DRS) here.

The Samithi's Tiruchirapalli zone Coordinators G V Gupta and T G Ayyappan said the meet aimed to popularise Lord Ayyappa worship and impose disciplinary norms among the devotees.

People from Tiruchirapalli, Karur, Perambalur, Ariyalur, Pudukkottai, Thanjavur, Nagapattinam and Tiruvarur districts participated in the meet.

Similar meets had already been held at Tirunelveli, Madurai, Coimbatore and Chennai, they added.
