India tests Anti-Missile Defence System

Orissa 7th Dec 2007 : India successfully carried out the second launch of a single stage nterceptor missile against an incoming ballistic missile at the Wheeler Island near Bay of Bengal, close to the Dhamra coast in eastern Orissa on Thursday December 6.

The officials said that The endo-atmospheric interceptor collided with its target at an altitude of 15 Km, exactly as designed.
