UBI-IIM beeps up strategic business plans

Kolkata, Dec 08: United Bank of India will soon outline a Medium Term Business Plan with support from IIM (C) here for the next three years, according to a press release here today.

In a day-long workshop ''Strategic Business Plan for UBI'' organised at IIM today, UBI CMD P K Guptas said the new banking exercise would help the bank look ahead, allocate resources, focus on key points and prepare itself for problems and opportunities He also stressed on the requirement to devising suitable strategic business plans of the bank and implement it accordingly in mid of January 2008.

Mr Gupta also addressed the bank's strength and weakeness with the help of IIM's faculty.
