'Southers Charge' wins the main event

Bangalore, Dec 8 (UNI) Favourite 'Southern Charge' (Tony Farina up) won the Harvins Bangalore 2000 Guineas (Grade II), the main event of the races held here today.

The winner is owned by Dr C S and Mr Z S Poonawalla representing Poonawalla racing and Breed Ltd and trained by Padmanabhan.

Trainers R R Byramji and Irfan Ghatala scored a double each while four favourites obliged punters in a card of nine events.
