Precious metals fall

Mumbai, Dec 8 (UNI) Precious metals today fell on lack of fresh demand with silver sliding by Rs 80 per kg and gold by Rs 45 per ten gm, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association (BBA) said.

Following were the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 19,040 (19,120) Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 10,170 (10,215) Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 10,220 (10,265).
