CII partners Singapore think tank for research
Singapore, Dec 7 (UNI) Singapore-based Institute of South Asia Studies (ISAS) and Indian industry chamber CII have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to carry out research and joint studies in an array of fields involving Indian industries.
The idea is to further develop on the long-established CII-Singapore relationship, CII president and Bharti Enterprise Chairman Sunil Mittal said.
''We want to basically take an indepth look at the Indian economy and work on furthering the interest of the two sides,'' said ISAS Chairman Gopiath Pillai.
ISAS is a two-year old Singapore think tank that is working on fostering diplomatic and economic relationships with South Asian countries.
Under the MoU, signed in Singapore today, the two sides would identify areas of studies and research.
Meanwhile, a CII delegation comprising captains of the Indian industries is in Singapore, interacting with the minsters, government officials and business counterparts for their annual exchange on business opportunities and updates.
