Bajaj Electricals receive a Rs 295 million order

Kolkata, Dec 07: Bajaj Electricals Limited has received a Rs 295 million order for the outdoor illumination of the international Hub airport, coming up in Nagpur through the Maharashtra Airport Development Company Limited (MADC).

MADC was developing a 4000 hectare area at Nagpur, divided into Airport Zone and special Economic Zone, with road and rail terminals, captive power plant, residential, commercial and educational facilities.

About 50 km of road network was being laid for which BEL had been selected for providing the complete outdoor illumination and also the operation and maintenance of the entire system for a period of ten years.

Galvanised Octagonal Street Lighting poles and Highmast Lighting Systems, including the SCADA system for Energy saving, are envisaged to be provided.

BEL manufactures these galvanized poles and highmasts in their own state-of-the-art factory at Ranjangaon near Pune.

The company is the market leader in the outdoor illumination systems, including sports stadia, highmast systems, street furniture, power plants illumination, rural electrification and transmissions lines.

The entire job is to be completed in a period of 18 months.
