3 gets lifer for double murder

Sultanpur, Dec 7 (UNI) A court today awarded life imprisonment to three double murder accused here.

According to the prosecution, village Pakarpur resident Gama and Banshi were fatally attacked with batons by Ghisiawan, Ram Chander alias Nankau, Ramji, Tribhuwan and Pancham.

While Gama succumed on the spot, Banshi died during treatment at the district hospital.

On the basis of circumstancial evidence and testimony, Additional Sessions and District Judge (fast track court) Avinash Chandra Tripathi convicted Ghisiawan, Ram Chander and Tribhuwan, besides slapping Rs 19,500 penalty.

However, since Ramji and Pancham were minors, the court transferred their case to the Faizabad Juvenile Court.
