2 UTs seriously injured while making bombs

Hazaribagh, Dec 7 (UNI) Two prisoners were seriously injured while making bombs inside a cell at the court premises here today.

Deputy Commissioner Himani Pandey said the duo might have planned to escape after exploding the bombs.

The accused charged with dacoity and other criminal activities were lodged in central jail and brought to the court for hearing.

Immediately after the incident which took place at 1600 hrs, a police team, led by Superintendent of Police Praveen Singh, sealed the court premises and started investigation.

In April, 2005, 19 undertrial prisoners managed to escape in the district in a similar manner.
