Show-cause notice against people's represetatives

Narsinghpur, MP, Dec 6 (UNI) District Collector Manish Singh has issued show-cause notices to Gotegaon Town Panchyat Vice-President Choukse and councillor Satish Agrawal for disrupting government work and beating up an officer.

Mr Singh said Mr Choukse and Mr Agrawal had beaten junior Food Officer Rajendra Tiwari at Collectorate premises on November 29.

A chargesheet-related document and a 'panchnama' report was snatched from him and torn.

Police have registered two cases in this regard. However, no arrests had been made thus far.

He said notices had been issued to both of them under the Town Panchayat Act asking them to reply within prescribed time following which necessary action would follow.
