One shot dead by police commandos

Imphal, Dec 6 (UNI) A suspected militant was today shot dead by Imphal West police commandos near the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) here.

Police said a hand grenade has been recovered from the deceased.

A police team had gone to the area, where they saw some youths, who fled on seeing the police team.

In another incident, a body was found today on Sanhenthong bridge, police said. Miscreants looted gold and money from a shop at Lilong, Thoubal district, in what came to be the third incident, the police said.
