Nine crushed to death in Deoria

Deoria (UP), Dec 6: At least nine people, including three children were crushed to death and four other received serious injuries, when a truck rammed in a road side hut in the Salempur locality early today.

Police sources here said the overloaded truck overturned and rammed inside a hut near Naval roundabout crushing the people sleeping there.

Eight people, including three children, died on the spot while another succumbed to his injury at the hospital, the sources added.

The injured have been admitted to the nearby government hospital.
