MapmyIndia launches in-car GPS navigation device
Bangalore, Dec 6 (UNI) MapmyIndia, a leading navigable map data provider, today launched an in-car GPS navigation device called MapmyIndia Navigator.
Talking to newspersons here, CE Infosystems, promoters of MapmyIndia, Marketing Head Roshan Verma said the portable satellite-connected GPS gadget was pre-loaded with comprehensive maps of the entire Indian sub-continent and provided real time, voice guided, turn by turn navigation for seamless travel across the country.
The system at present offers maps of 55,000 towns and villages, 150 cities and 18 major cities. It would be upgraded every six months ,covering wider areas.
''Internationally the market for in-car GPS navigation has seen an exponential growth especially in the US and Europe. In India an estimated 100,000 such devices is expected to be sold in the next one year,'' he said.
He said the portable pocket sized device, powered by Horizon Navigation software, comes with a 3.5 inch colour touch screen.
