Israeli couple held

Varanasi, Dec 6 (UNI) Police arrested an Israeili couple for trying to commit filicide by throwing their son in the river Ganga in Bhelupur area here today.

Almog Yarden along with his wife Marzina and two-year-old son Bat Bilal had came to the temple town on August 1.

Last evening, the couple threw their son into Ganga under Bhelupur police station area.

The boy could only be saved after nearby people pressed into the rescue operation.

Acting on a tip-off, police trapped the Israeli couple this morning near Kedar Ghat.

The duo was being interrogated, police said.
