Guj made all-round prog during Modi regime: Hema Malini

Rajkot, Dec 6: Actor-turned-BJP Rajya Sabha member Hema Malini today claimed that under the Narendra Modi regime, Gujarat had turned into the only terror-free state in the country. Addressing a publc rally here Ms Malini said Gujarat had made tremendous all-round progress under the leadership of Mr Modi. Elections elsewhere, she said, were mainly contested on the issues of ''pani, bijali aur sadak (water, electricity and road)''. But the situation in Gujarat was entirely different, as the state enjoyed 24-hour power supply and good roads, while the water problem in the villages has also been resolved by the Modi government by providing Narmada waters, she said.

There have been several incidents of terror attacks in states like Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh and other parts of the country, but there has not been a single terror attack in Gujarat under the BJP rule, she said.

The earnings of the Gujarat farmers have increased after the state government began proving them with 24-hour power supply and adeqaute water for their crops, Ms Malini said.
