Five get life in SI murder case

Banka, Dec 06 (UNI) A local Fast Track court today awarded life imprisonment to five people in connection with the murder of three policemen, including a sub-inspector.

Fast Track court judge G R Tripathi found all the accused guilty of killing SI Bhagwan Singh and two other policemen Nityanand Kumar and Brijbhushan Prasad and awarded them life imprisonment.

According to charges, the victims were shot dead by the convicts at Annandpur OP under Chanan police station area in the district on November 03, 2005 and also managed to escape with four rifles and several rounds of live cartridges from the outpost.

All the convicts are said as to be hardcore activists of CPI(Maoists).
