6 killers slapped with life sentence

Lalitpur, Dec 6 (UNI) A local court today pronounced life imprisonment on six persons accused in a 12-year-old murder case here.

According to the prosecution, on October 5, 1995, Pappu alias Harnarayan was murdered at village Rajwara in Kotwali area.

Later, a case was registered against Kappu, Hanna, Gaya, Duli, Prakash and Babu.

On the basis of circumstantial evidence and testimony, Additional District and Sessions Court Judge A K Ganesh convicted the accused, besides slapping a Rs 16,500 penalty on Kappu and Hanna.

The court imposed a Rs 12,500 penalty on the remaining convicts.
