SP MLA records statement in model code of conduct case

Sultanpur, Dec 5 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA Chandra Bhadra Singh alias Sonu today recorded testimony before the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) court in connection with the model code of conduct and prohibitory orders violation case.

The MLA along with his brother Monu had violated the model code of conduct and prohibitory orders during the nomination of the April-May Uttar Pradesh Assembly election.

Both the accused, presently lodged in Naini jail, appeared before CJM Umesh Prakash under tight security, where their statement was recorded.

Meanwhile, the MLA was sent to Lucknow under tight security for attending the Assembly session, while Monu was taken back to Naini jail.
