RSS leader Uttamchand Israni passes away
Bhopal, Dec 5 (UNI) The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's former kshetra sanghchalak, Akhil Bharatiya Adhivakta Parishad Chairman and social activist Uttamchand Israni passed away today at a local private hospital where he was admitted following cardiac arrest at Jabalpur.
He was 80.
Mr Israni is survived by his wife, son and three daughters.
The funeral procession will begin at 1100 hrs tomorrow from his Sindhi Colony residence and the last rites are scheduled at Chhola Vishramghat.
Mr Israni, who migrated from Sindh after Partition, became associated with the RSS at a young age. He served as the Sangh's Bhopal vibhag karyavah, prant karyavah and prant sanghchalak. About a year back, he requested to be freed of the kshetra sanghchalak's responsibility owing to health reasons.
He was jailed for 19 months during the Emergency.
The demise was condoled by Kshetra Sanghchalak Shrikrishna Maheshwari and Prant Sanghchalak Shashibhai Seth.
UNI
