Chimps day out

Kolkata, Dec 5 (UNI) Babu and Rani today had a taste of freedom but only for a brief stint.

The two chimpanzees today escaped from their enclosure for sometime this noon at the Calcutta Zoo here, creating panic among the visitors.

Zoo officials said the two adult animals after breaking the lock of the enclosure's gate started walking in the gardens ignoring the visitors, who ran helter-skelter. Some of them even injured themselves in the process.

However, many children seeing the chimps go past them enjoyed every moment of it.

Later, zoo keepers and took the two tail less monkeys inside the closure.
