Notification issued for Bikramganj LS bypoll

Patna, Dec 4 (UNI) The notification for byelections to Bikramganj Lok Sabha seat was issued here today.

Sources at the Election office said the nomination process for the bypoll formally began with the issuance of the notification.

The last date for filing nomination is December 11, while the scrutiny will take place on December 12.

The last date for withdrawal of nomination is December 14.

Polling to the Bikramganj Lok Sabha seat would be held on December 29 and counting would be taken up on January 2.

The byelection in the constituency was necessitated following the death of JD(U) MP Ajit Kumar Singh in a road accident.
