Hyderabad, Dec 4 (UNI) Even as junior doctors stayed away from work seeking MLA Afsar Khan's suspension from the Andhra Pradesh Assembly for attacking doctors on November two, paediatric surgeons of Niloufer Hospital today conducted a rare surgery on a six-old-year boy suffering from 'incomplete twinning.' Niranjan, son of a farming couple from Mahaboob Nagar, had two pelvic girdles, three deformed lower limbs and four legs.

Speaking to newspesons, Chief Paediatric Surgeon Narendra Kumar said they dislocated the central limb and adjusted the pelvis in the first phase of surgery.

The boy was recovering and talking to his parents. Food would be given to him after two days and he would be discharged after 15 days.

A total of nine surgeons and two anesthetists were involved in the complex procedure. In the second phase, the two feet facing each other would be surgically corrected and the angle at the knee joint reduced in the third phase.

Niranjan has three lower limbs, with an extra leg at his back.

Though he manages to stand, he walks with a waddling gait because of the extra leg.
