Cardamom e-auction centre to be opened in Idukki district

Kochi, Dec 4 (UNI) The Spices Board will open an e-auction centre for cardamom at Vandanmettu in Idukki district of Kerala on December eight.

The Rs 55 lakh centre, to be inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Commerce Jairam Ramesh, would have 60 terminals for operation, according to an official release here today.

The first e-auction centre for cardamom was opened at Bodinayakanur in Tamil Nadu, with an initial investment of Rs 22 lakh and 30 terminals.
