VHP to stage protest in Delhi on Dec 30

Mumbai, Dec 3 (UNI) Activists of the Rameshwaram Ramsethu Raksha Manch, an organisation floated by Vishwa Hindu Parishad, will stage protest at Boat Club in New Delhi on December 30, to protect the structure.

Speaking at a news conference here today, Venkatesh Abdev, secretary of the VHP, said ''The protest rally will start at 1100 hrs and will last till 1600 hrs and around two million devotees of Lord Ram will participate in it.'' He said around 50,000 people from Maharashtra will participate in the rally.

A big rally was organised at the same venue on April 4, 1991, and next month's rally will be a reminder of the same. It will oppose the Central government for dredging a canal by destroying the Ram Sethu, Mr Abdev added.
