Taslima's decision a surrender to fundamentalist: Datta
New Delhi, Dec 3: Taslima Nasreen's decision to delete some passages from her book 'Dwikhandito', which were being objected to by fundamentalist Muslims, was very ''disappointing,'' amounts to surrender to such forces, and a ''great set back'' to the feminist cause, says writer Sujit Datta.
''It also shows the true face of the CPI(M), which heads the ruling front in West Bengal, the Bengali intellectuals, the secularists and the civil society as a whole who failed to give unstinted support to the Bangladeshi writer in her fight against forces of regression.
