New president for Ramkrishna math, Mission

Belur, West Bengal, Dec 3 (UNI) Swami Atmasthananda Maharaj was today appointed as the president of Ramkrishna Math and Mission at a simple function at the Belur Math premises here.

The post fell vacant after Swami Gahanananda Maharaj died recently.

The 88-year-old Maharaj, who was instrumental in building the Rajkot mandir and setting a hospital in Yangon, would be the 15th president of Ramkrishna Math and Mission.
