Medicos protest against MBBS extension

Gulbarga Dec 3: Medical college students of M.R Medical College and KBN Medical College boycotted classes and took out a demonstration here today, to protest against the government's decision of extending the MBBS course by one year.

More than 500 students took out a procession to the Deputy Commissioner's office protesting the government's proposal of extending medical course from five-and-half-years to six and -half-years and organised rasta roko.

Later, the students submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner in which they urged the government to repeal the proposal.
