JD(U) fields Ajit Kumar Singh's widow for Bikramganj byelection

New Delhi, Dec 3 (UNI) The Janata Dal (United) has decided to field Ms Meena Singh, the widow of its leader Ajit Kumar Singh, as its candidate for Bikramganj Parliamentary Constitutency byelection in Bihar.

JD(U) President Sharad Yadav said in a press statement that Ms Singh, who was involved in social work for years, would be the party's authorised candidate. Her husband Ajit Kumar Singh, who died in a road accident earlier this year, represented the constituency in Parliament.
