Jaya sacks ten AIADMK office bearers

Chennai, Dec 3 (UNI) AIADMK General Secretary J Jayalalithaa today sacked ten office bearers in Tiruchirapalli district from the party for maintaining contacts with Mr M Natarajan, husband of her close friend Sasikala, in spite of a party directive.

Despite this stern warning, the office bearers had taken part in the meetings in which he had participated.

As the office bearers brought disrepute and bad name to the party, and had acted in violation of party's policies and discipline, they were removed from the primary membership of the party, she said.

AIADMK partymen should not have any contact whatsoever with them, she added.

Those who faced the axe included S Nazeera Begam, District Joint Secretary, V Harikrishnan, District MGR Manram Joint Secretary and A Nirmala, District women's wing Treasurer, a party press release here said.
