Five people killed in a road mishap

Gulbarga, Dec 3 (UNI) Five people, including a woman and a boy, were killed and six others injured when a jeep in which they were traveling overturned at Donagram village near Kamalapur in this district today.

Police said that the driver while trying to avoid dashing against a women who was crossing the road, lost control of the vehicle which veered off the road and overturned killing two on the spot and three in the hospital.

Police said that the woman who was crossing the road was also killed in the mishap.

The deceased were identified as Siddamma(48), Suresh(18), Prem(12) Sharan (15) and Nagaraj (18).

Police said the victims were on their way to attend a marriage in Humnabad.

The injured were shifted to the government general hospital here. The driver was arrested.
