Actor Fardeen Khan's case hearing postponed

Mumbai, Dec 3 (UNI) A Sessions court here today deferred till further date, a hearing in the narcotics case of 2001 involving cine actor Fardeen Khan after he informed the court about the loss of his passport.

Fardeen was arrested in 2001 by the officers of the Anti-Narcotics Cell for allegedly trying to buy one gram of cocaine from a peddler outside a multi-national bank's ATM centre in the city.

According to his lawyer Ayaz Khan, the court was to hear arguments in the case tomorrow. Fardeen, who is at present away in America for a film shoot, sent an e-mail informing him about the loss of his passport during the course of his shoot and said he, therefore would not be able to attend the date with court. Following which, he requested the court to postpone the hearing, and the court postponed it to a further date, added the advocate.
