Two soldiers killed in Jammu road accident

Jammu, Dec 2 (UNI) Two Army jawans were killed and three injured in an accident in Billawar area of Kathua district last evening, official sources today said.

They said two Army jawans were killed when the vehicle in which they were travelling, rolled down into a nullah near tehsil Billawar.

''On receiving information about the accident, a police party rushed to the spot and started rescue operation. All the injured people were brought out of the nullah and rushed to Billawar sub-district hospital, the sources told UNI.

Meanwhile, two of the seriously injured were declared as brought dead while the condition of the remaining three was stated to be critical.

The deceased were identified as Lance Naik Gaginder Thappa and Naik Mekh Bahadur while the injured were Naib Subedar Rim Bahadur, Sepoy Balbir Singh and Rifleman Dil Bahadur, sources said.
