Person assaulted by father-in-law

Mumbai, Dec 2 (UNI) A person identified as Mohammed Jakir Faqir Husain (32) was brutally assaulted by his father-in-law Afsar Abdul (48) in the western suburbs in Bandra.

According to police, Afsar with the help of an unidentified person brutally assaulted Hussain with sharp weapon yesterday at 1630 hours at later's residence.

According to police, the victim was harassing and torturing his wife on petty issues which led her father to take the bold step.

Injured Hussain has been admitted in Bhabha Hospital. His condition is stated to be critical.

Police has arrested Afsar while his accomplice is still absconding, the sources added.
