Services Weight Lifting C'shmps to begin on Dec 4

Chandigarh, Dec 2: The 51st Inter Services Weight Lifting Championship will be held at 3 BRD (Base Repair Depot) from December 4 to 7.

The championship will be conducted on behalf of Air Force Sports Control Board (AFSCB) under the aegis of Services Sports Control Board.

During the championship, the Services Weight Lifting Team will be selected, which will paritcipate in Senior National Weight Lifting Championship scheduled to be held from December 19 to 23 at Bhubaneswar in Orissa.

The championship will be conducted as per the rules and regulation laid down by the International Weight Lifting Federation and as adopted by the Indian Weight Lifting Federation.

The competition will be held in eight weight categories and four teams will be participating in the championship namely Army Red, Army Green, Indian Navy and the host Indian Air Force.
