Indore, Dec 2 (UNI) Renowned scientist Dr R A Mashelkar would be awarded IMA Lifetime Outstanding achievement Award during the Indore Management Association's 17th National Management Convention 2007 on the theme 'Unshackling Leadership: Challenges For The Genext' to be held on December 7-8.
''The theme has been kept in view the fact that corporate that had succeeded in recent times had provided leadership with difference and unshackled their thought process,'' Mr Rakesh Jain, Chairman of the Convention and Mr C Narsimhan, Director, IMA and Managing Director, State Bank of Indore told mediapersons here last evening.
He told that IMA Life Time Outstanding Achievement Award-2007 would be conferred upon Padam Bhushan Dr R A Mashelkar, who has a unique distinction of creating largest intellectual capital in the world.
Dr Mashelkar was named among 50 path breakers in Independent India along with Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Nobel Laureate Amartya Sen, late Dhirubhai Ambani and others.
Rajya Sabha MP and former Union Minister Arun Shourie would be the chief guest of the inaugural session. Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram will preside over the valedictory session.
Other eminent speakers include Pfizer (India) Managing Director Kewal Handa, who is also All India Management Association President, and Vigilance Commissioner Ranjana Kumar.
